Each
year, the Newark Campus hosts sports camps for
area students.
In 2008,
the campus celebrates its 18th year of providing sports camps for central Ohio
students. We are proud of the instruction and
competition we are able to offer to area athletes.
Our camp season begins in February with the Titan
Skills & Drills Softball Camp. This year's camp will feature Mark Blasczyk
providing pitching instruction. Coach Blasczyk is the pitching
instructor at Big League Baseball and head coach of the STARZ 13-14
year-old travel team. Participation in drill
stations will help young players improve both their physical and mental softball
capabilities.
At the Titan Spring Training Camp, in
March, little league baseball players take advantage of the
opportunity to begin practicing for the upcoming season. There
will also be stations for personal instruction in pitching,
catching, and hitting.
In June, volleyball players are excited
to work with a former member of the Lady Buckeyes Volleyball
team as well as the champion caliber athletes from the Titans
Women's Volleyball program.
The Athletic
Department offers Basketball Camp for boys in June and one for girls in
July. Both camps are directed by coaches with impressive records
and awards.
Note:
Change in week and format for both basketball camps.
