Post Secondary Students

High school students may be eligible to enroll at Central Ohio Technical College and receive both high school and college credit.  In addition, tuition, fees, textbooks and materials are provided at public expense.

The maximum number of credit hours for PSEOP Option B participants is defined in legislation.  To determine the maximum number of credit hours PSEOP Option B participants are eligible to complete, the Carnegie Units Worksheet must be completed by the high school and submitted to COTC prior to the student enrolling in courses each academic year.  The maximum number of credit hours for PSEOP Option A participates is 45 (effective for those enrolling for the first time Autumn Quarter 2003 and thereafter).

Students who enroll in PSEOP Option B are limited in the courses in which they are eligible to enroll.  As defined in legislation, a student may not enroll in a course at COTC if they had taken a course in the same subject area in high school and failed to attain a cumulative 3.0 GPA.  To determine course eligibility, the GPA Calculator must be completed by the high school and submitted to COTC prior to the student enrolling in courses.
