COTC Part Time Faculty Network Access

• Central Ohio Technical College offers access to Outlook Web Access, on-campus computer secure login, and web site creation/ maintenance capabilities based on a COTC secure username and password.

  Part time faculty will be assigned COTC usernames and passwords per the following procedures:

  • COTC Academic Office supplies ITS with a complete list of part time faculty one week prior to the start of any academic quarter.
  • ITS assigns secure network username and passwords to the individual part time faculty.
  • The part time faculty members contact the Help Desk to receive the username and password by visiting the Help Desk and showing proof of picture ID.
    • If the name is on the part time faculty list, the ITS Helpdesk releases the username and password to the requestor after they show Picture ID.
    • If the name is not on the part time faculty list, the ITS Helpdesk contacts the COTC Academic Office for further clarification.
  •  The academic offices may request that the username and password be given to them in a sealed envelope to be delivered to the part time faculty member.  The Help Desk will deliver the network username and passwords in a sealed envelope with the name and address of the part time faculty member on the envelope to the COTC academic offices.  The COTC academic office will verify the employment of the part time faculty member and send the sealed envelope to the part time faculty member.
  • By the end of the second week of the quarter, the part time faculty list will be purged of all names not listed on the current quarter’s part time faculty roster provided by the COTC Academic Office.
