Newark Campus Webmaster - Nicole Criner
Welcome to COTC and Ohio State University at Newark Web Services
There are several projects on the horizon that will benefit the campus community web presence. A web users group will be developed soon for employees who are currently doing updates for their departments. This will allow for us to open communication lines on any problems, issues, questions or concerns you might have regarding doing your web updates. Also, everyone's wish list can be reviewed and explored for feasibility. After developing this user group, we can conduct training sessions on W3 accessibility requirements, Front Page, importance of web security, etc. By conducting and exploring learning opportunities for the web users, our knowledge as a group will be enhanced. Web users will be contacted soon regarding forming this user group and attending monthly meetings.
Another project that can significantly benefit the campus community is a Content Management System (CMS). A CMS is a computer software system for organizing and facilitating creation of documents and other content. Frequently, content management systems are a web application used for managing websites and web content. This will be of great benefit to the users who are updating existing sites. A CMS will allow for enhanced web security, users to develop online forms and surveys with an easy to use interface, and modifying or adding content very quickly by the use of templates. This product will be of great benefit to the campus web community.
Additionally, the webmaster provides multiple services to the campus community. Services provided include:
